The LTC 27919 is a high end ballistic solution comprised of a Silicon Carbide Ceramic Core, supported by a lightweight polyethelene backer.
The LTC 27919 is a military plate which is NOT governed under the civilian NIJ standard.
This has a rough equivalent of Level 3+ protection when used in conjunction with Level IIIA or Military 9mm/ Frag rated soft armor.
The LTC 27919 is capable of defeating multiple hits of 7.62x54R LPS, .30-06 FMJ, 7.62x51mm M80 Ball, 5.56x45mm (M193, M855, M855A1) and 7.62x39mm (FMJ, API).
