DESCRIPTION:
The LTC 19513 series 9.5x12.5 inch triple-curve hard armor SAPI cut plate is a Level III++ Stand Alone armor plate manufactured from high-density alumina ceramic core (Al2O3) backed with layered polymer composite fiber.
Hoplite private labels (rebrands) these same plates from LTC.

Rounds are absorbed by this plate on impact, rather than deflected or fragmented.
The LTC 19513 Series Level III++ plates are designed to provide a more affordable option for a lightweight Level III+ rifle rated armor with Special Threat Protection against 7.62x54R LPS, .30-06 FMJ, 7.62x51mm M80 Ball, 5.56x45mm M855A1, M855 and 7.62×39 Mild Steel Core.
 
The 19513 Series plates have been validated according to NIJ 0101.06 ballistic standards at Chesapeake Testing, the worlds most trusted NIJ Certification laboratory.
The 19513 is guaranteed to perform against all stated threats with minimal backface deformation, greatly outperforming many plates in its class.
Each plate weighs only 5.25 lbs and outperforms most Level III / III+ / III++ plate options from every major manufacturer in the United States at a significantly lower cost.

Difference between Highcom 3S9M and LTC 19513:
A common question we get asked is, what is the difference between the 3S9M and the 19513?
Simply put, the 3S9M is rated for armor piercing rounds while the 19513 is not. 
Contrary to popular belief M855A1 is not an AP round, it is a round meant to penetrate barriers, a barrier blind round.
While it does have better performance against armor, it has a steel tip with a copper core, not the full hardened steel penetrator and core needed to classify a round as AP.
The 3S9M is the only 3++ plate on the market that stops true armor piercing rounds out of large bore rifles such as 7.62x54R or 7.62x51mm.
