At only 4.1lbs per plate and 0.9" thick this plate makes an excellent candidate for a lightweight general use plate that does not sacrifice essential protection to achieve these weight savings.
Engineered with the highest grade ceramic materials and UHMWPE (Polyethelene) backing, the RSTP SA+ is rated for a modified US Military SAPI standard as well as NIJ 0101.06 Level 3 (with special threat testing).
This means this plate is rated to stop multiple hits of 7.62x54R LPS, .30-06 FMJ, .308 M80 ball, 5.56 M193, M855 Steel Core and 7.62x39 Mild Steel Core.
