DESCRIPTION:
The Highcom RSTP is a lightweight and ultra thin Level 3+ ICW (Additional Special Threat Tested) plate with exceptional ballistic performance.
Starting at only 1.0lbs per plate (6x6") and being 0.55" thin, the Highcom RSTP makes an excellent candidate for a low vis plate.
Side plates can add bulk, but with the RSTP side plates, you can have 5.56 M855 rifle protection at half an inch thick.
Engineered with the highest grade ceramic materials and UHMWPE (Polyethelene) backing, the RSTP is rated for a modified US Military SAPI standard as well as NIJ 0101.06 Level 3 with a Level IIIA Soft Armor Backer.
This means this plate is rated to stop multiple hits of .308 M80 ball, 5.56 M193, M855 and 7.62x39 Mild Steel Core.
The RSTP will stop M193, M855 and 7.62x39 on it's own, but we recommend a IIIA backer to acheive its full rating against .308 M80 ball.
The Highcom RSTP is an excellent option for someone looking for a low visibility and lightweight plate for concealment or general purpose overt use.

I hated wearing side plates in the army because of our bulky IOTVs and thicker side plates. But these were really thin, I couldn't feel them much when wearing them.
