The Highcom SA3920 panels are an NIJ 0101.06 Level IIIA Certified, ballistic armor solution.
At only 0.19" thin, and 0.86 (psf) this is our highest end, thinnest, lightest and most concealable level IIIA soft armor.
Engineered with a proprietary hybrid solution of unidirectional materials, the SA3920 utilizes DSM Dyneema® Polyethelene (UHMWPE) and Twaron® Aramid.This gives the SA3920 unmatched thickness, protection and weight savings.
The Highcom SA3920 is NIJ 0101.06 Certified Level IIIA and is also also meets or exceeds additional DEA and FBI Special Threat Testing requirements.The SA3920 has been extensively tested to nearly two dozen additional threats beyond what the NIJ requires.
The SA3920 is rated up to .44 Magnum as well as 5.7x28mm SS195/197 and US military standard fragmentation.(Full threat chart at the bottom of the page and in product pictures).
The SA3920 is also rated for 9mm +P+, .45 ACP and .40 S&W contact shots (muzzle pressed against the vest) as per FBI special threat testing.Many soft armor solutions do not use the materials necessary to stop contact shots which is why FBI and DEA special threat testing is incredibly important for soft armor solutions.
