We have had high demand for backpack plates in the last year and now we are here to offer them. Rectangular cut plates are uncommon and for the most part no longer used.
However they function great as a backpack or laptop bag plate for mobile concealed protection.
These are each sold INDIVIDUALLY unlike our other plates which are all sold in sets of two.
These plates are rated for multiple hits of high velocity intermediate caliber rounds from common "assault rifles". These options are meant to be lightweight, thinner, or able to take more of a beating with each option having distinct properties that sets it apart from the others. The differences between our various backpack plate options will be outlined below.
The Highcom 3S11 is the lightest weight option out of these plates and can be physically abused the most, however it is not rated for steel core rounds.
The Highcom 3S9 has the most protection out of these options and is similar in performance to a lightweight level 4.
The Highcom RSTP ICW is the thinnest plate out of these options and is steel core rated, however is only meant for intermediate cartridges such as M193, M855 and 7.62x39 MSC when used standalone.
The Highcom RSTP SA+ has a balance of properties out of the other three options. With a middle of the road weight, that gives the same protection as the RSTP ICW with a backer (M193, M855, 7.62x39 MSC and .308 M80 ball)
